Today, four years ago, I met someone who would change my life forever. Of course, I didn’t realize it at the time because we were both in relationships and I had the tendency to be slightly standoff-ish to beautiful women that I couldn’t date. I was just sitting across the table, sharing a bottle of wine with her. The next night, we find ourselves walking around the city and she was giving me a lecture on lying to my then girlfriend about smoking.

And now, where are we? It’s been four years, we are both married (to each other), and my life has never been the same for either of us. I didn’t know it at the time, but my entire world changed. I have an associate’s degree and I’m on my way to my bachelor’s degree, we own a home, been married almost a year, have great friends, and we’re looking ahead at the steady approach of our 30’s. These are the best years of our lives and we finally have someone worth sharing it with.
